FINAL COLOR! DONE! YAY.

the moon is what caused all the delays. basically, the moon is made of three layers and the second was completely covering the first because the shadows were filling in in the screens because the dots were too small on the films. thats printer talk for i was being anal.

definative proof that this was in fact 13 colors.

ALL DONE. AWESOME. ok, now they just have to be freighted to me. tubes ordered, picking up packing paper tommorow. woo.

anyways, 12 colors in we FINALLY ran into an issue. one we can solve, but involves a time delay. accordingly, the prints wont be finished tonight. it was an incredibly tiny detail issue with the shadows on the moon filling in and not showing up. the moon being the focus point of the image, it had to be perfect, so were adjusting the seperation and reshooting the screen with a new film to make sure it works properly. see! this sort of thing is why i came out here, gotta make those tough expensive decisions.

today were doing ink mixing and some test prints and getting together our game plan of sorts.i got a quick tour of the studio and did some mental shopping of all the toys in the store downstairs.

US Air lost my luggage and my print flight case on the way here. im really really no happy about this as things i needed for the print were in the case. lame.
